Nikhil Chandravel is a third-year medical student at the VCU School of Medicine. He has held leadership positions in student groups interested in Medical Ethics as well as Palliative Care. He looks forward to incorporating his love for ethics in his career as an Emergency Medicine Physician at the intersection of public health and policy.
Brigitte Lieu is a third-year medical student at the VCU School of Medicine. She has held leadership positions in two specialty interest groups at VCU SOM, as well as the Medical Ethics Student Interest Group. She is currently considering several potential specialties and hopes to serve on a hospital ethics committee as part of her future career as an attending physician.
Kelly Harrell is an Associate Professor in the Department of Anatomy & Neurobiology at VCU School of Medicine. With over two decades of teaching anatomical sciences, Dr. Harrell truly loves teaching gross anatomy, embryology and more. Currently, she directs and teaches Medical Gross Anatomy and Embryology in an integrated pre-clinical medical curriculum. She also directs two anatomy-based electives, where fourth-year medical students get re-immersed in the anatomy laboratory for dissections and teaching opportunities. Dr. Harrell's research interest focus on team-based and active-learning interventions in anatomical and medical education settings.
