Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine
I am a second-year medical student at Edward Via College of Osteopathic Medicine (VCOM) in Virginia. I serve as the Treasurer of the Student Osteopathic Medical Association (SOMA) at the school and volunteer as an Anatomy Intern. My passion for anatomy started in high school when I took my first anatomy course, sparking a deep interest in the human body that guides my academic journey.
During my first year of medical school, my enthusiasm for anatomy flourished as I often taught the material to my peers. This natural inclination toward teaching lead me to the role of Anatomy Intern, where I now support and educate the incoming class of medical students. My research focuses on making medicine more engaging and enjoyable, aiming to enhance learning experiences for future healthcare professionals.
In my role as Treasurer of SOMA, I actively contribute to student leadership and advocacy, balancing my passion for anatomy with my commitment to student representation. Through my work, I hope to inspire others to find joy in the study of medicine.
