Dr. Kim Latacha is an Associate Professor and Vice-Chair for Medical Education in the Department of Genetics, Cell Biology, and Anatomy at the University of Nebraska Medical Center in Omaha, NE. She serves as a co-director of pre-clinical medical education and teaches gross anatomy to medical, allied health, and graduate students. Throughout her nearly 25-year career, she has been required to navigate a number of personal and career-related transitions. As a member of both her university promotion and tenure committee as well as the AAA Professional Development Committee, she will share her personal experience and advice for managing challenging personal transitions while maintaining career focus and a successful promotion trajectory.
