Hannah is currently a postdoctoral researcher at the University of Chicago working with Zewdi Tsegai on questions related to the form-function relationship in ape postcrania. While her PhD research focused on the functional morphology and biomechanics of the shoulder in relation to arboreal locomotion in early hominins, her postdoc research is centered around quantifying intraspecific variation in internal bone structure (trabecular architecture and cortical geometry) in extant apes.
