After 20+ years as a science educator in K12 and post-secondary, Nancy has just graduated with her doctorate in Anatomical Sciences Education from the University of Florida. Her focus of learning has been human gross anatomy and dissection, human embryology, human histology, concepts of education, educational technology, and educational research methodologies (quantitative and qualitative.) Her research interests center around the latent construct of self-efficacy. Specifically, she studies how it is measured and how it can be influenced to facilitate improved teaching and learning for health professions students. She also explores using eye tracking as a cognitive measuring tool and incorporating that into digital lessons.
