Graduate Student
Western University, Canada
I am a second-year Archaeology & Biological Anthropology master's student at Western University in London, Ontario, Canada. My thesis research focuses on creating a standardized methodology for the application of traditional osteomorphometric methods used for age, biological sex and stature estimations to computed tomography (CT) scans of adult mummies. This research combines techniques used in osteoarchaeology, forensics, and clinical medicine to create a biological profile (or osteobiography), which is the first step in establishing an unknown individual's identity. I study the morphological and metric variations of bones, in addition to the complexities of using digital imaging to accurately portray the intricacies of the human skeleton.
