Assistant Professor
University of Iowa
I am an Assistant Professor of Biology at the University of Iowa. I study collective cell migration – the movement of cells as a group – using Drosophila embryonic wound healing and human epithelial cells as models. I received my PhD in Biomedical Engineering from Duke University under the supervision of Dr. Brent Hoffman. I then completed postdoctoral training with Dr. Rodrigo Fernandez-Gonzalez at the University of Toronto. I started at the University of Iowa in 2024, and am currently building my independent research program at the interface of cell and molecular biology and engineering.
