Founder
nodramaturg ~ healing higher ed
After more than 20 years in faculty and leadership roles at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Elizabeth Odders-White founded nodramaturg coaching & consulting to help clients in higher education—and beyond—thrive. She works with leaders, individuals, and groups to set goals consistent with their values, map out steps for moving forward, and generate evidence-based strategies for overcoming any obstacles. Elizabeth’s deep compassion and creativity, coupled with an intimate familiarity with the complexities of an academic environment, enable her to offer clients the particular encouragement and support they need to flourish. Above all, she helps clients learn to trust themselves and their abilities, and to operate from a solid foundation of authenticity and confidence.
Elizabeth is the author of two short books designed to support and uplift higher education professionals. “Well on Your Way: An Assistant Professor’s Companion” offers a space for reflection and reassurance to those navigating the winding and thorny path toward tenure. “Well in the Lead: An Academic Leader’s Companion,” written with Suzanne Dove, extends that same sense of gentle guidance to current and aspiring leaders.
Both books are part of the STANDOUT Professor collection, a suite of resources and programs designed to support academics from all backgrounds at all career stages. The signature STANDOUT Professor Confab enhances productivity and wellbeing in a live, group setting, while an array of free resources—including videos, meditations, and blog posts—offer ongoing support and inspiration.
Elizabeth earned a Ph.D. in finance from Northwestern University, as well as a BS in mathematics and a BFA in music, both from Tulane University. She is a Professional Certified Coach (PCC) credentialed through the International Coaching Federation (ICF) and a Certified Executive Coach with additional training in positive psychology coaching.
