Theresa is a fourth-year undergraduate student at the University of Chicago, majoring in Neuroscience and Biology. Her research focuses on the neurodevelopmental patterning of sensory systems. Working under the mentorship of Dr. Victoria Prince, she has explored live imaging and functional manipulations of innervation in a zebrafish model. She plans to pursue a PhD in neuroscience to futher investigate nervous system development at a cellular and systems level. At Anatomy Connected, she is excited to present her work on the role of innervation in zebrafish lateral line development and engage with fellow researchers in the field.
